How to meditate with a Mantra?

A Mantra is a divine combinations of sound vibrations, a word or phonemes having spiritual powers to which our soul is connected and hence help us to go in depth while performing meditation. Meditation as we know can be performed by many ways but most of the time when performed without the help of mantra does not allow us to go deep in ourselves and we end up closing our eyes and wandering in our mind at different places and incidences of our life. Mantras give the wandering mind a focal point. They produce a flow that is easy for the mind and Kundalini Chakras, the energy systems of our body to grasp. There are many benefits we can attain when we perform meditation systematically using our mantras, some of them we list here.

  1. Meditation with mantras activates the root chakra increasing our wisdom and spirituality and finally helping us reach awakening, enlightenment and liberation.
  2. It reduces stress as physical benefits by releasing endorphins which helps block stress harmones and enhances positive brainwaves which help us in relaxation of our brain and physical body.
  3. Meditation with mantra is very useful for enhancement of our achievements and for solving our particular problems by performing particular rituals. We have to find appropriate mantra, set the sankalpa ( intention), get it energized for our suitability and then chant in meditation to attain desired results.
  4. It regulate heart rate, increases immune functions, and lower blood pressure when we do the meditation with mantra regularly.
